Bismillah,

Assalaamu ‘alaykum

“And We have indeed made the Qur’aan easy to understand and remember, then is there any one who will remember (or receive admonition)?”    [54:17]

Fee Qalbee’ : A unique blog that seeks to inspire muslim women to memorise Al Qur’aan. Utilising textual, audio & visual information, our aim is to instill the love & ambition within each muslimah to make tahfeedhul Qur’aan an integral part of her spiritual quest to gain His Divine Pleasure.

In addition to this, we seek to provide a global support network for muslimahs worldwide, to share their experiences, challenges, memories & advice on memorizing Al Qur’aan.

My personal journey towards learning Al Qur’aan, began at a tender age, whilst growing up in Europe. The  phenomenal sacrifices of a loving mother & the strong support of a dear father ( May Allah bless them abundantly & grant them the highest abodes in Paradise, aameen!) played the most significant role in my journey. My wonderful husband, sisters, friends, teachers & scholars were & continue to be mediums of inspiration & progress, Alhamdulillah. I hope to journal & share my experiences as a student & teacher, for which I am eternally grateful to Allah, The Lord of the worlds: Alhamdulillahi bi ni’mati hi tatimmus-saalihaat!

Why ‘Fee Qalbee’?
“Those who knew Qur’aan by heart shall be the leaders among the dwellers of Paradise.” [At-Tabaraani]
All & absolute praise is due only unto Allah Ta’ala, who blessed us with Al Qur’aan: The Sacred, Noble Book, of which its beautiful verses are like the thread from which the substance of our souls are weaved. Abundant salutations be upon our beloved teacher & role model, the 1rst Haafidh of Al Qur’aan, Sayyidinaa Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), whose entire life represented the Qur’aanic model.
As I’ve often reminded myself & students alike, there is a simple equation that illustrates the significance of the heart in relation to memorizing Al Qur’aan:
Hifdh + Heart =Heedfulness (of Al Qur’aan)

For indeed, the heart of a believer is unique: For, a true believer acknowledges that whilst she has been gifted to preserve the Mighty Words in her heart, she needs also to understand & implement its wisdom & value in her life. I strongly believe that when we preserve its verses, together with its application, then we are, by the Mercy of Allah, heading towards a profound revolution of the spiritual heart.

We beseech Allah Most High, to bless us with sincere, conscious, repentant & believing hearts, that surrender to His Commands, aameen!

May we personify the beauty of Al Qur’aan – with our hearts, minds, bodies & souls:

“Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding.”      [39:18]

In pursuit of Allah’s Pleasure,

Rayhaanah

    As Salaamu Alaykum Dear Sisters

When I shared my difficult hifz experiences with my parents on the way to campus this morning, I had no idea I would find this blog today. Alhamdulillah. And it was exactly the first verse quoted on this page that inspired me to begin memorising the Qur’aan last Ramadaan. Having just started my PhD as a medical scientist, standing on the brink of a two-year long research visit to somewhere in Europe, and estimating a long 7 and a half years before I might complete the Qur’aan (at the pace I’m going), the road ahead seems immense. May Allah Azza Wa Jal make it easy for us all to memorise as much as we can, for the cravings of the soul can neither be denied nor extinguished …they can only be granted.

    Khair Insha Allah!

    With Much love,
    Tasnim

    1. Rayhaanah Says:

      Wa ‘alaykumus salaam wa Rahmatullah
      Dear Tasnim:)
Alhamdulillah! Life is beautiful & everything truly happens for a GREAT reason:) Shukran for visiting the blog – I hope that the content will inspire, uplift & motivate you towards your spiritual ambition of memorising Al Qur’aan:) Blessed you are, indeed, for Allah Ta’ala has chosen you to be of those whose hearts will preserve The Beautiful Words, inshaa Allah! As you so beautifully expressed, the cravings of the souls can only be granted – and the journey of memorising Al Qur’aan is a tremendous part of that…Consider each verse as one which draws you closer to this spiritual accomplishment & nearer to His Divine Proximity!
My du’aa for you: May Allah Ta’ala make your hifdh easy & successful for you, no matter where you are & may your light of devotion continue to resonate within your soul, aameen.
Be-Tawfeeq! Love for the Pleasure of Allah,
      Rayhaanah
